THEBROWNPAPERBAG’s (“THEBROWNPAPERBAG’” “we”, “us”, “our”) website(s) (our “Website(s)” or “Sites”) and related services are made available to you in accordance with the following Terms of Business, and any other rules posted on our Website(s) (collectively, the “TOB”). ELIGIBILITY TO PURCHASE
To place an order on this Site, you must be over 18 years of age. Are you under 18 years of age; your actions on this Site must be supervised by a parent or legal guardian.

Once your order has been placed, you will receive an e-mail acknowledging the details of your order.

If you pay through PayPal, you are not protected by the scheme granting the right to object. Read more about the conditions on the PayPal website. When selecting this option at checkout, you will be directed to the PayPal website to complete the order with credit card or through your PayPal account. You can choose to proceed as guest or to ‘Log In’ and review the amount shown before clicking ‘Pay Now’. Once this transaction is complete, you will be returned to THEBROWNPAPERBAG. Payment will be debited and cleared from your account upon processing of your order by THEBROWNPAPERBAG.
You confirm that the payment card that is being used is yours or that you have been specifically authorised by the owner of the payment card to use it. All payment card holders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to authorise payment to THEBROWNPAPERBAG, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery.
To help ensure that your shopping experience is safe, simple, and secure, THEBROWNPAPERBAG uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. Furthermore, we take reasonable care, in so far as it is in our power to do so, to keep the details of your order and payment secure, but in the absence of negligence on our part we cannot be held liable for any loss you may suffer if a third party procures unauthorised access to any data you provide when accessing or ordering from the Site.
The amount will not be drawn from your card account until the goods are dispatched.
The start date for all layaway plans initiates on the of the first payment received by Us. For layaway items paid in full, the total item purchase price is the stated price at the time of original purchase (net of any promotions or discounts applicable at that date). There are no fees or interest added to this amount, although additional shipping charges may apply. You may at any time within the agreed upon timeframe, pay the outstanding amount applicable to your order, rather than waiting until the payment due date(s). Only once you have paid your order in full, we will ship your order. If the item was not subject to a “free shipping” policy at the time of the original purchase, you will also be required to pay shipping charges. In the event an item placed on layaway becomes unavailable, or is unavailable in the same condition as at the time of sale, we will notify you of this fact and promptly return any amounts you have paid to date.
We will cancel a layaway in the event that you fail to make a scheduled payment on the due date. Given our arrangements with our vendors and the commitments we have to them, and given that the item had been made unavailable to other buyers during the layaway period, the first payment of 10% is non-refundable.
Layaway items are subject to returns and cancellations just like any other order, though the 25% service fee paid upfront is non-refundable.
Our Gift Cards, printed and digital, are sold subject to the following terms and conditions:
- Gift Cards are valid for 12 months from date of the initial purchase.
- Gift Cards may be returned or redeemed for cash within 12 months for a fee matching our costs for this transaction.
- If your order total is less than the value of the Gift Card, the remaining balance will be credited to your account and can be redeemed against subsequent orders.
- If your order exceeds the value of the Gift Card and you have existing store credit on your account, this will automatically be redeemed to cover the remaining balance. All remaining balances exceeding the value of your gift credit or store credit must be paid by credit or debit card.
- If you return products you have purchased using a Gift Card, the remaining balance will be credited to your account as store credit and can be redeemed against subsequent orders.
- Virtual Gift Cards will be e-mailed to the recipient once the full order has been processed and payment has been taken. A copy will also be sent to the buyer as confirmation of dispatch.
- THEBROWNPAPERBAG is not liable for delivery of a Virtual Gift Card to an incorrect or non-existent e-mail address. This is the sole responsibility of the buyer.
- THEBROWNPAPERBAG is not responsible for stolen, lost or misused Gift Cards.
- THEBROWNPAPERBAG reserves the right to cancel a Gift Card if we deem such action necessary.
- Promotion codes cannot be applied to the purchase of Gift Cards.
- Sales tax and shipping is applicable on any products purchased with a Gift Card.
- Shipping is applicable for Printed Gift Cards.
To ensure that the value of our products is maintained, all our repairs are performed by experienced master craftsmen. These professionals understand the specifications and have access to the correct materials needed for repairs. For subsequent repairs, we recommend contacting the original manufacturers.
(Note that all items on the Site are sold “as is”. Reclamations can be made of defective products, however, not for products with normal wear and tear due to age or defects mentioned in the product description. THEBROWNPAPERBAG is exempt from liability for any prior and subsequent repairs.
PROMOTION / DISCOUNT CODES
Promotion codes issued by THEBROWNPAPERBAG are non-transferable and we offer no cash alternative. Furthermore, a single promotion code cannot be used in combination with other promotion codes or offers, and must be redeemed before the expiration date (if applicable).
We aim to dispatch all orders within 24 hours (48 hours during sale periods). All delivery times are estimates and commence on the date of dispatch. In any event, we will deliver the goods to you within 30 days of the day on which we process your order. THEBROWNPAPERBAG is not responsible for any delays caused by customs clearance processes. If there is a risk of substantial delay by external circumstances you may contact us to cancel your order.
All items are sent with DHL Express and prices for delivery will reflect the total volume weight and destination. For Sweden, Denmark, Norway & Finland, we offer flat rate shipping rates:
Sweden (1-4 Business Days): SEK150
Denmark (1-4 Business Days): SEK180
Norway (1-4 Business Days): SEK200
Finland (2-4 Business Days): SEK300
From time to time, we may offer complimentary shipping and Express shipping options. These offers and/or prices will clearly be marked at checkout.
(Note that some remote destinations are subject to higher delivery fees, including, but not limited to islands not connected by a bridge.
As a consumer, when you buy from us, you have a 14 days, in which you have the right to cancel the purchase.
This period expires 14 days after the day on which you received your order. If you have ordered several items in the same purchase, and they are delivered separately, the period runs from the day you received the last item.
If your order consists of several consignments or parts, the right to cancel will lapse 14 days after the day you receive the last consignment or the last part.)
If the agreement is for regular deliveries of goods over a specific period, then your cancellation right lapses 14 days after the day when you receive the first package.

You cannot cancel the purchase by refusing to receive the goods, unless you inform us at the same time.
- IMMEDIATE REGRET
If you should change your mind after placing an order and wish to cancel, please do so within 1 hour of placing the order. Otherwise your order may be processed and shipped.
- CANCELLING PART OF YOUR ORDER
If you have bought more than one item from us, you may return one or several items, even if they were bought in a single order.
(Note that freight charges will not be refunded if you cancel part of your purchase.
- RETURNING YOUR ORDER
When you have informed us that you are cancelling your purchase, you can return the order using the included return instructions and shipping label from DHL.
(Note that all return costs will be subtracted from your refund.
Some goods cannot be returned by normal post. This applies to: jewellery and watches.
The cost of returning these goods is expected to amount to maximum SEK2000 (depending on carrier, value and transit insurance).
- THE CONDITION OF THE ITEM WHEN RETURNING
If the value of the returned item is reduced, and the reason is that you have used it in any way beyond what was necessary to check the type and properties of the article and how it works, then only part of the purchase sum can be refunded to you. The amount that can be refunded depends on the saleable value of the article, and in certain cases this may mean that only the freight charges can be refunded.
We recommend that you return the article in its original packaging.
- REFUND OF THE PURCHASE SUM
If you cancel a purchase, you will get your money back through the original payment method. If the value of the article is reduced, we will deduct the amount you are liable for.
We refund all payments received from you, including delivery costs (which does not apply, however, to extra delivery costs if you have chosen a form of delivery other than the cheapest standard form of delivery which we offer), not later than 14 days from the day when we have received your notification that you want to cancel the agreement.
We will return the money by the same means of payment which you used for the purchase, unless otherwise agreed.
We may hold back the payment until we have received the article, unless you send documentation that you have returned it.

Exchanges are only processed upon receipt of returned merchandise and are based on stock availability. Please return your item(s) to us and simply purchase the new piece separately through our Website(s). If you chose store credit, not that it is non-transferable and may not be returned or redeemed for cash.

Your use of our Website(s) and its contents does not grant you rights in relation to copyright, designs, trademarks and all other intellectual property and material rights relating to the Content (as described in the Content section below), including THEBROWNPAPERBAG Software and all HTML and other code contained in our Website(s). PERSONAL DATA POLICY
We need the following information when you trade with us: name, address, telephone number and e-mail address.
We register and pass on the personal details which are necessary to deliver the goods to you.
Personal data is registered with THEBROWNPAPERBAG AB Filial Sverige and is kept for five years, after which the details are deleted.
In addition, we work with a number of other companies who store and process data. These companies process the data exclusively on our behalf, and must not use them for their own purposes.

RIGHT TO MAKE COMPLAINTS
When you trade with us as a consumer, the Danish Sale of Goods Act applies.
This means that you have a right to complain within 24 months. Please contact us before you send the article.
If your complaint is justified, it means that you may either have the item repaired or replaced, or your money refunded, or a reduction in the price, depending on the specific situation.
You must complain within a “reasonable time” after you have discovered a defect. If you complain within two months after the defect has been discovered, it will always be regarded as within a reasonable time.
If the complaint is justified, we will refund your freight costs (within reason). The article must always be retuned in suitable packaging. Remember to obtain a receipt for dispatch, so that we can pay back your freight costs.
